The V6 engine sounds great and runs well but the car has a gearbox issue. The car has been diagnosed at "Monnington Motors" (VW/Audi specialists) with a fault code for the gearbox...Diagnostic Trouble Code Report Fault Code: P0701-004 Intermittent (Please Google for more info). The Devon Gearbox centre has given an estimate of around £400 for the work in taking the gearbox out and putting it back again. ECU Testing have given an estimate of around £500 for the repair to the mechatronic unit, so it could be possible to fix for less than £1,000. Once sorted this will make a great little performance car which handles very well and performs very well. With 250 bhp on tap delivered through the proven “Audi Quattro” four-wheel drive system these cars are fun and practical.
