Evening all, I am sure this topic has been brought up before but I was considering changing my 2018 S3 for a 2019 or 2020 A35 AMG Premium plus. Has anyone done it or experienced the A35 in comparison to The S3 8v? What I noticed on viewing is that while the interior is more modern with all the LED’s which look cool it is also more plasticky and that artico fake leather is nothing like the Audi Nappa. My car feels more solid and even the new S3 feels a bit cheaper in comparison but I guess that’s how cars are going! Reason for me considering changing is just because my mileage is getting a bit high and RFL is £495 vs the Merc’s £160! Thoughts please!

Firstly I’m sorry this is probably in the wrong section but I wasn’t sure where to post. I’m looking to buy an RS3 but the seller isn’t too knowledgeable on its full spec and I can’t view at the moment due to obvious reasons. It’s strange that on DVLA it is showing taxed and has clearly been taxed again since you sold it yet like you say the last V5 issue was 2018?! The reason I say this is surely therefore it is still registered in your name- how could it have got retaxed since?

Hi Steve, many thanks for your welcome! I’m looking for Misano red ideally, Navarra blue or black. Must have Lunar silver leather interior, pan roof and driver assistance tour package- I don’t want to lose these from my S3. Looking at p.x prices and trade values for the RS4 Avant it seems dealers can put as much as £10k across the car! There are some on auto trader but they seem very pricey - for example a 2 owner red 67-plate one is at £54500 when it has a trade in value of about £45k! I know this doesn’t allow for the extras but it’s funny that upon enquiring about p/x on my S3 apparently they don’t add anything to the valuation, but retail wise, oh they do!
