  1. No joy! Replaced the driver door mechanism, and tried a used ccm. Noticed a couple of wires in the driver door loom in the rubber boot had split but not broken. So will try and look at that next... any other ideas welcome. Will keep the post updated 👍
  2. Brill That’s a good suggestion, I’ll take a look at it. It may be a while till a replacement part arrives but will post on how I get on. Thanks 👌👍
  3. Hi, there are a few topics about the central locking on here but struggling to get my issue resolved. (Audi a3 2006 8p) a year or two ago the remote fob became intermittent and had less range. Changed the batteries and it didn’t make a difference. Eventually the remote stopped working (on Both keys) so had to physically use the key to gain access to the car. When the key is in the ignition I can use the door buttons to open all the doors and boot to the car. I went to an auto electrician who told me the keys are sending the signal and that water can get into the ccm and cause this issue... he recommend trying a new fob... but wanted to check on here with what you guys think? So I have checked the ccm in the boot and it is bone dry, when I use my fob near it I can hear it click. So my question is what is the next stage of central locking after the CCM that I can take a look at? I was thinking Maybe the pump? But then as my door can unlock the whole of the locking is that not the issue. Any ideas welcome please! thanks
