  1. Hi everybody! I am looking for a passenger side running board for my 2014 3.0 TDI S Line Sport Q7. I had the misfortune to scrape it on my gate post which left a section of damage to it that i cannot keep staring at. Any help would be much appreciated as the only ones i can see on ebay are either tacky copies or VERY expensive genuine ones! Gary.
  2. Hi Steve, it was National where I took it! I called my local Audi independent who said that what National told me was ‘partly true’! I explained that as I only had slight near side front abnormal wear, could it be just tracked at the front? He advised against it and said it would be better to do a 4 wheel alignment as one adjustment might affect another. He also said to make sure fuel tank was 1/2 to full!!! £110.00 + vat Really confused now!
  3. Thanks for all replies. The tyre place guy told me that Audi put weights in areas of the car to create certain driving situations and adjust alignment accordingly??? Is this true???
  4. Thanks for that! I will do some research. I got concerned when the guy said that they had had a go at doing a Q7 previously and the owner kept bringing it back as it kept pulling to one side! At least when i arrived, the guy asked if i could put it into jacking mode with the air suspension as they had had problems with levelling previously after not putting into jacking mode and ended up taking it to Audi to correct! Yes, £178.00 per tyre! Not for the faint hearted and i usually have part worns but with this big bus, didn't want to take any chances! They were quite reasonable all things considered as i got Pirelli P Zero's and looking at previous receipts, the owner bought the same in 2016 and paid £176.00 each then!
  5. Hi, I am hoping somebody can advise. I have just returned from having 4 new tyres fitted to my 2014 3.0 TDI. I requested 4 wheel alignment but they refused to do it and advised me to take it to Audi as specialist knowledge and equipment is needed. Whilst i certainly don't doubt this, i also realise that it will mean exorbitant amounts of folding notes! There was slight abnormal wear to front nearside tyre and after spending just shy of £800.00 on new ones, want it setting up correct. Is Audi my only option or can anybody with the Hunter system do it? Thanks in advance, Gary.
  6. Hi, i have posted before regarding my 2014 3.0 TDI and warning lights. The TPMS, flat tyre and traction control lights came on along with a stability warning message. After stopping, turning off ignition and restarting, they went off. This has happened about 3 times in last 10 months. I got codes read and it come up with an ABS pressure fault. I arranged with the seller (through warranty) to have the pump repaired/replaced and took it the 100 miles to them and left it for a week. there were also signs of a weak battery, slow cranking, stop/start slow to react along with the steering going stiff. After a couple of days, they called to say they couldn't start the car to read codes and battery was too far gone to recharge and so replaced it (at a cost to me of £240.00, which i was fine with as it was a Bosch and i didn't want to really remove seat!). When they came to read codes, there were none stored but the cranking was fine, as was the steering. They drove it round for a few miles over the next few days with my permission but the ABS fault never occurred so was put down to low voltage and i got the car back. After 2 weeks and about 30 miles, got the same warning lights and message again! As soon as the ignition is turned off and on again, they disappear for the next few days/weeks/months! There doesn't seem to be any effect on driving. Has anyone got any suggestions? Gary.
  7. Just been googling, am i correct in thinking that the battery has to be changed by a garage as it needs re coding??? 🤬🤬🤬
  8. Yes, that makes sense! Will try that. Thank you.
  9. Hi, thanks for reply. Any ideas regarding suspension raising when starting? Didn’t seem to be one corner but all four.
  10. Hi, I have a 2014 S line sport 3.0D. I don’t use it very much and when I went to start it today for first time in over a week, it cranked very, very slowly. It eventually started but it has always seemed to crank slow and start at last moment. I thought this was just how the Q7’s were but today was worse. Granted, it was very cold, but does this sound like a new battery is needed? Secondly, and possibly more concerning is the fact that when it started, the suspension started raising up. I haven’t noticed this before. Is this normal or have I got a leak from somewhere? There are no warning lights showing. Thanks in advance, Gary.
