    Thanks, fully agree that known history is far better than claimed or recorded. For this to be a "weekend car" need to be assured it is not going to spend it on a ramp or meaning constant trips to the bank. RS specialist it is for a pre purchase assessment when I find the one …. Regards Rick

    Hi I am new to the forum. I am looking for a RS6 C5 Avant but would like some guidance / pointers before I buy always wanted one but don't want to get a dud. Seen a couple that am interested in would you say I should get assessed by an RS specialist garage before purchase? Any advise is welcome at this stage. Love the metallic blue / cream interior combination I have seen. Anyone know of a good car out there with no horrors waiting to bite me please let me know thanks Rick
