Brief update, I didn’t manage to track down Crasher and had no reply from Suplex, however thanks to Magnet I spoke to Liam at Parts in Motion who was very helpful and recommended KYB springs which have the correct colour code so a positive result. Thanks all.

Thanks, I’ll look him up. Coincidentally I emailed Suplex today with the spring info I have and will report back with their reply. Re shocks Bilstein do a B4 which is not listed on their database for an S3, only B6, B8, and B12 full kits.

Thanks very much I’ll try them, I have the original part numbers and when searching I’m taken to eBay, autodoc and the bilstein shop autodoc having the most comprehensive selection. I’ve owned the car for 17 years and it’s been maintained as far as possible with OEM parts and the only source for them seems to be Audi tradition but their springs are 160 euros each. Some parts are described as being for cars with or without sports suspension and I don’t know which is correct, the dealer suggested it may have had standard struts with sports springs? I’m probably overthinking this and should just let them fit what they get from their parts source. Regards, Gavin

Thank you for the advice however I don’t know anyone who would only replace one front spring but I imagine some would. I have the original part number and colour coding but as Audi no longer supply them it’s an online search.

I have a broken front spring on my 2002 S3 8L an intend to replace the struts etc at the same time. What would you recommend as the best OEM replacements, I’m not interested in lowering or stiffening? I have the original part nos but getting conflicting information so any advice welcome.
