  1. Alright folks, got to the bottom of the fault lights coming on ABS ESP & Headlight range finder, it was all tied to the rear right abs sensor!
  2. Hmm the thought has crossed my mind, I know the lad quite well up there so I think I'm going to take it up there an see what he says about it.. not sure what wiring you'd actually be near while truing up the tracking to be honest.
  3. I've just remembered when I had mine fixed they get back to you when they've diagnosed the problem an then let you decide if you want to go ahead with it.
  4. Morning folks, so I came to start the car the other day a few days after having a few tyres put on and tracking done, and I got two faults one after the other come through on the dash, the first was ESP/ABS fault an then Headlight range finder defective. My first thought was maybe the battery's low so I charged it over night, an never got the faults again till later that day, I know this doesn't rule the battery out but thought it was worth a try, so I did some digging online an it seems the ABS sensors can throw these 2 faults, so I was just curious if anybody else had this happen before?
  5. Yes popped the new tubes in an it's working perfect now, But we're onto new problems now😂.
  6. Hmm sounds a bit more than just the dash, ive heard that the battery cables sometimes can wear through by rubbing on the battery carrier causing these issues. And then as daft as it sounds a fuse? Worth ruling out to me.
  7. Sorry for the belated reply I didn't see this but yes I got it fixed wasn't a bad job at all👍 the worst part was removing the old cables they were really corroded into the tubing.
  8. Highly common fault from what I found in my research aswell.
  9. I recently had mine fixed at ECU testing pal, symptoms were no dash lights or gauges worked intermittently at first and gradually got worse. Recommend ecu they're good. What are the symptoms your getting?
  10. Ahhh so unlucky while your away, you can bet that the other side wont be too far away either if that sides thrown in the towel, had the exact same thing happen with mine last year, fingers crossed its not cooked the disc aswell!, you'll know as it will judder lightly on braking.
  11. Wow thank god for aftermarket parts! I got in touch with parts in Motion and the soonest they could get the parts out to me was Thursday and euro car parts don't stock them at all so I hadto got to another place (tps) that stock oem vag stuff so £42 not too bad👌.
  12. Just £20 for the tubes was expecting atleast £1000 from audi😂.
  13. Morning Ah no worries, I can't remember what I had for tea last night😂, but it is a carpet up job, and it does ring a bell taking the arm rest post out from the video I mentioned, hopefully it's not too bad a job to remove, can't really see it giving that much play in the carpet, I'm half tempted to Stanley round the edge of the post an then super glue it back down when finished🤔. No reason other than like you say just for convenience as its the closest parts store, an I was leaning more towards it for quickness but it doesn't really matter now as I've just been on the phone to audi an they can't get the guide tubes in till Wednesday morning, so I've had a look at the parts in Motion website but can't seem to find the febi cables, I do rate there stuff aswell all my discs an pads are febi.
  14. May aswell get them changed while the cables are done then hopefully theyre not too expensive from the dealership, do you remember how you went about lifting the carpet? Yes im pretty sure I can eliminate the calipers as the problem as they're less than a year old and the spring mechanism feels as strong as it should be. So tommorow I will pick some cables up from euro car parts, and fingers crossed one of the local dealerships has some of the guide tubes in stock, so I can set to it tommorow night👍.
