  1. Hi I have code reader and would like to correct my terminology.. I am making reference to the fuel control module located next to the tank. The code reader I have access to is the snap on version which has given a few fault codes, some I think relate to it getting pulled onto the back of a tow truck. Anyway the fault code that is of most interest (I think) is P025A Fuel pump module control circuit /open. I have done some further checks and going to the relay should be between 11 and 14 Volts, terminal 4 earth and terminal 5. With ignition on or cranking I get low voltage reading 2-3v only and OL on one of the terminals when cranking which then read 11.5 volts when stopped cranking. So, to that end I am thinking the fuel control unit, however welcome any other thoughts? Now a strange issue which I don’t think is related. The boot will not open with key fob or boot switch/button. When I managed to open it via the backseat, I activated the lock, when the boot was open. Put a screwdriver in the lever and moved it over as if the boot was closed. The key fob and boot switch both activated the mechanism. Move the boot close to being closed and it doesn’t work. Checked the wiring loom between the body and boot for any breaks ....none. So work that one out 🙂 thinking there is a micro switch as part of the operation that is faulty? Again any thoughts would be appreciated.. A3 Audi 2.0 TDI 2013 plate.
  2. Thanks for the reply Gareth. The car didn’t start after parking up for a couple of hours. Would turn over but not fire up. AA said it was the fuel pump had seized, so took their word for it and changed the fuel pump. No joy doing the same hence me thinking it was the fuel pump relay which is located next the the pump at the fuel tank. Does show power up to it but wanted to know what it should show when cranking etc? The relay is between £70-£90 so was looking for a bit more certainty before changing? Thanks
  3. Has anyone had any issues with fuel pump relay on A3 2.0 TDI Saloon. Advice on how to test would be appreciated?
