  1. I will wait till Monday & their reply, then quite likely send it back A: because there's no instructions to its fitting B: because there's clearly no obvious benefit 😄 bolting to the inner wing provides no structural advantage & quite possibly will do the exact opposite.
  2. I agree, but this is clearly not made to fit the top strut mounts. The photo on their website shows it as it's laid on my car at present. Poor pic to zoom in on, but the angles & attachment to each end of the brace itself appears to hide inside the gap between the top of inner wing & just below. In my pic (LHS) you can see it obstructed by the plastic trim directly above headlamp, below the 2 screws that are visible (clearly not strong enough for a brace mount IMO)
  3. Anyone ever fitted a strut brace? (Although technically not a strut mounting) Nothing anywhere on net & no fitting instructions from Ultra Racing! Just can't see how it mounts?
  4. Having pulled out the bumper edge & looked at it again, i think you may be right. There may have been tabs that sat above the bumper lip to be held on inside by the upper rear panel, so stopping the "bumper wing" from spreading out. If so, buggered if i know how to get round that one?
  5. Can anyone ID the proper clips that stop the edges of rear bumper sticking out? Had it painted & they've not put originals back on after!
  6. Need Help! Bought a full power fold mirror kit & after fitting & coding, there's no power to mirrors, C/L or mirror indicators. Windows & alarm light are only things that work. Part No for the modules is 8x0959792 & 3c. Std modules end in F. Anybody with PFMs able to tell me if these are the right modules?
  7. Doh! yes the door module. I have the switch & harness is just 2 extra wires. I did speak to mirror supplier who gave me the part number, so i sourced the modules, but they're definitely the wrong ones. That's why i need the Part No.
  8. I have acquired a pair of Power Fold Mirrors, however i am struggling to find the right ECM part (number) Can anyone help? For a 2013 Pfl.
  9. Can anyone help for a 2013 A1 Amplified edition. I have the PFMs ready, but need to know do i need the following: Door modules x2 Mirror switch Door looms Part numbers too if possible, thanks.
  10. Looking to swap my wheel for a MFSW-FBSW also with skip forward option on RH steering wheel buttons. Having looked into it, i need the wheel with a baby airbag to match (2016>) but is there anything else i should know, or is it a case of fit & code, & are most newer Audi's good for this swap?
  11. So my A1 2013 MY has the MFSW fitted from factory. I would like to change it to the flat bottom version. So are other models (A3,S3 etc etc) easily interchangeable? Believe mine is the 8x version & seen a lot of 8v versions for sale. Mostly want the FBSW along with track F&B, plus re-using my original round airbag to save expense. Any advice greatly appreciated 😉 l
  12. So this relates to a Caddy, but the A1 is the same. I need to know the fog light wiring colour & pin position., as i have fitted a bumper with fogs. Have changed the switch to a fog one, & all wiring is in place but for the trigger wire from the switch to the relay. Original non fog switch had 8 of 10 pins, fog enabled has all 10. I need to wire the trigger to the correct pin/wire to get the fogs to work. Can anyone help? Pic is of old 8 pin switch.
  13. Exhaust yes. Lights i can do, just don't understand how the wiring is completely missing, hardly call it an added extra?
  14. I am, 16 years at Bentley & a host of self built motorcycles. However, nothing beats previous experience & i always try to pass on knowledge if i figure it out myself!
  15. Already have with zero response. I've noticed across many "car enthusiast" forums, how little people know about cars. I'm also a member of a few M/cycle forums & there's a plethora of knowledgable people that is seriously lacking for 4 wheels. I think the mechanically trained don't like to pass on too much for fear of losing work in the real world. Or maybe i'm paranoid :)
  16. There's a way to alter programming for it & many other things. Carista OBD2 bluetooth to change settings, & another called OBDeleven 😉
  17. Or take the old one out & look?
  18. I was thinking of this "staggered" plan, but i'll leave it then. Although i reckon a 2013 model wouldn't know perhaps?
  19. Having bought my "new" A1 1.4 tfsi Amplified Edition car, i'm finding some strange things amiss with it? So here's a list: Although i have holes, there are no lights in footwell or glove box. Surely they can't be "extras" Car has had a mid box delete, yet it is still seriously quiet? Can anyone tell me size of front discs i should look for to replace with upgrades? I found a loose plug wire in boot, then found plug it goes in to at back of boot trim, what's it for? Any help appreciated 😉
  20. Hi there, got my 1st Audi after making the huge mistake of buying a Mini. A few Qs already so shall i ask here or start summat elsewhere?
