  1. Hi Paul

My keyless entry is a bit hit and miss. I can never open it via keyless entry at the golf club. I am sure it is something to do with the with the wireless security cameras blocking the signal. With the key in my pocket I put my thumb on the indentation on the door handle and it opens.

Mine is going in to have some minor warranty work done next month ( broken boot lock cover) they are going to give it an inspection service as well. I will let you know the cost.

  2. Hi Andy

Thanks for your reply. The wheels have been completely refinished by Audi under the warranty nearly a year ago now. They are now perfect. I did look at your suggestion and it sounds like a very good product, but, unsure how it would react with the lacquer that has already been put on to the wheels. As the car is still under warranty I think I will give it a miss. But, thanks anyway

  3. Hi Steve

I wasn't thinking of heat dissipation as the motors and battery have a sealed for life cooling system, it was more for noise deadening as the bonnet seem a bit tinny.

  4. Hi Paul

My OHME charger charges at 7.4 kw. and in doing so in draws 30amp from the household system. You really ought to upgrade the house fuse to at least 80amp. Also the charger has a load compensator which monitors the load on the system, so if you have ,say, the cooker on, hob on and boiling a kettle the charger will automatically lower the load to itself until the load lowers.

  5. Hi

The under side of the GT's bonnet is not insulated. But there are 4 threaded screw holes strategically placed in a square for something. Is mine missing the insulation that should be there?

  6. Hi Caoimhin

I seem to have the polar opposite to you. My E-Tron GT has rear seat cup holders set in the armrest and I hate them. I think it detracts from the supposedly luxury inside of the car. I can't see any rear seat passengers wanting to rest their arm on hard plastic for any length of time. I am having a leather cover made to fit over the armrest to hide them from site.

  7. Hi Keith

I have always been a bit cautious of wheel spacers. I think they put more loading on the axle bearings which they were not designed for. Also as a modification you will also have to inform your insurance company. BTW, welcome to the club.

  8. Hi David

Sounds like blocked jets. They need cleaning out as dirt and grit can get into them. Definitely attend to the rear washer, if that gets blocked in can blow the supply pipe off. Which means that the tailgate trim would have to be removed and that is not easy, and BTW Hello.

  9. That is good for your Jag. The only thing is with the closure of the M25/A3/M3 I was travelling on A and B roads for 25% of the journey and you can't just drop in to any petrol station for a top up when the battery is low.

  10. Hi Took the E-Tron GT on it's first long journey yesterday to the Simply Audi Day. I did some basic calculations after the trip. I covered 211 miles only taking 205 miles from the battery and it had cost me £22.05 to fully charge the battery  (291 miles with out aircon, 261 with) from 30 miles max, which gave me approx. 65 M.P.G for the journey, and I have still got 50 miles left in the battery. Which is not bad for a car of it's size and ability.

  11. Hi. Had a message on screen today, "Change Key Battery". Which seems quite quick as the car is only just over a year old. Anyway could not get access to the battery so a trip to Audi. They very nicely changed it for me FOC. Now warning message is still on the screen. They said it will reset but it hasn't so far. Any thoughts?
