New to the forum today having found it on google, hoping i can get some view of some problems im having with a new A4.
This is a 70 plate A4 35 black edition 2.0l petrol manual, which replaced a 2018 A5 Sline 2.0l petrol manual, both cars leased and im pretty disappointed with the A4 if im honest - but thats what i get for buying a car in a lockdown lol
Main issues are the milage is about 20% less than the A5 got, same driving patterns and journeys except the A4 gets nowhere near what the A5 for, only thing I can see is no efficiency setting on Audi Drive on the A4 but should that make such a big difference to milage? On a particular 30 mile motorway journey the A5 used to get around 55mpg but the A4 struggles to get 45mpg - after 1000 miles from new its sitting an an average of 35mpg versus 43mpg the A5 had on average after 2.5 years. Not sure if the lack of efficiency setting would make this amount of difference =, although surely cars should be getting more efficient not less these days.
I find the touchscreen a total pain, my phone keeps connecting to the wifi but then doesnt allow you do to do anything with it, disconnect from the wifi the phone reconnects again, every time the radio goes off which is a right pain and im so missing the big circular control the A5 and previous Audi's had beside the gear stick. I cant believe Audi could think its safer without that control as all it will do is have people leaning over to the touch screen while on the move which isnt very safe.
