  1. hi the cars done a little over 100k ....
  2. Hi sorry for delay in coming back I've previously run a liquimoly diesel purge through and changed the filter. this had no appreciable effect.
  3. Hi on our a3 2L tdi (170hp) there is a bit of an issue that I am struggling to get to the bottom of. in usual driving it all runs very smoothly, pulls nicely and all seems well, but when you ask a bit more . ie put your foot down, it pulls really well then at about 3400-3500rpm there is a big hesitation feeling almost as if it cuts out for a split second then back to full power. If you hold the throttle down these carries on as it accelerates hesitating every couple of hundred rpm or so. Garage tells me there are no fault codes - the crank shaft sensor was showing a fault but this has now been replaced and all seems cleared. Anyone have a similar experience and fix or advice? regards
  4. HI I need to replace a couple of injectors on our 2.0 TDi (170hp) 2007 A3. one injector has the code 03G130073 with a suffix T. looking a round there are a lot (or several ) suffix letters for this same injector number. Are they different or can they be interchanged? eg. some places seems to suggest that T and M suffixs are suitable. is the letter a calibration code, ie something that would need to be entered into the ECU so usable but not a direct swap? regards
  5. HI We have recently acquired an 2006 A3 2.0tdi - really nice but a copuple of problems cropped up this week... the rear wash system is leaking ... i can see wash water dripping down the offside rear pillar - behind the trim. so I guess that either the pipe has split or a connector has come apart. Can anyone give advise as to how I remove the trim to investigate, it looks as though quite a bit will have to come off? the reversing lights stopped working. obvious one is the bulbs but they are OK and I can't see from the handbook of there is a seperate fuse. all the other elctrics seem fine... the fog lamps in the same cluster work so ground is good. Any advice on where to look to trace faults? regards
