My V6 TDI cranks well on new battery but no sign of life.
Did the 5 seconds "ignition on" as required for a new battery as given in the hand book.
I maintained 12V from a small battery via cigarette lighter socket during the change over in an attempt to keep functionality of remote locking etc.
There are 2 standing warning lights up - the engine icon for emissions fault and the skidding car icon for electronic stability programme (which should be on after battery disconnection according to the hand book)
The only thing I haven't tried is to disconnect the new battery to allow a system re-boot and see if the engine icon clears.
Can anyone add anything?
