  1. Engine type FSI by any chance ? I had something like that, but not even remotely as bad as Yours, meaning it was actually reliable enough to go around places as a daily

And u have scanner on hand for constant checking? because for me it cleared up after a few restarts/drives whenever it popped up.

It was P0192 (low/high fuel pressure sensor)

    P.S. I own: Kcan YA-101 OBD II  scanner, what's urs ?

  2. Already ordered the part 😄 and I'm pretty sure it matters, try to compare these parts for example

    06E906517A - 06D133517B

They may look the same, but their arrows point in different directions, if for example I've tried to install it, I may need probably some sort of wire extender xd and even then who knows, if it would work the way intended.

  3. Hello,

Currently I'm trying to figure out which part precisely would fit my car:

    Audi A3 8P1 (coupe) 2003 2.0 FSI 110kw (not turbo) petrol

The part, that was left by previous owner is confusing the hell out of me 😄 it seems like it was supposed to be compatible with TFSI, and not FSI in any case, if anyone had experience with this engine, an OEM code or any other insights would be appreciated, since looking on my own is not getting my anywhere... different sites say different things about their purge valve.

    • "Sometimes funny starting when hot, dies but then starts up fine on 2nd attempt - suspect starter motor needs replaced?"

Not necessarily, had something like that quite some time ago, it had trouble starting warm, then after a few months or so it died entirely, I think it was cam or some of that sort sensor. It almost felt as if fuel not being delivered, since RPM never went above 200-300 RPM on attempt, had to get it towed costed me 40-50 euros this issue
  4. Hello,

Currently my car is equipped with: 1K0 201 801 B

Upon some searching I found a lot of some other compatibles, but not "B", does by any chance anyone knows what it stands for or is it any special ? 😄

I’ve got the ambient lighting pack which includes interior door handle lights, two red LED above interior mirror directed to the dashboard, footwell lights, centre console storage light - all RED LED but don’t think there’s an actual light in the ashtray itself just the storage bit forward of it

Yeah pretty much what I've meant, so basically I need a kit or a singular led to put one in the storage or maybe there's one just dead.

  6. Hello,

I'm curious about the ashtray ambient light, well, the cubbyhole to be more precise.

I don't know if 8p's have those by default, but I think I've saw in 1 car while I was looking to buy 8p, quite conveniently it was already dark.

The one I've bought doesn't seem to have it.

Is it difficult to install, if let's say it never had one ? or maybe it's burned out idk, and needs replacement or something.

  7. They're tied together, but the problem is, that the connection itself where those tubes come from is not very solid, maybe something vacuum related or loose, but it doesn't look like it's screwable it's more push kind of thing.

  8. Hello,

I'm looking for ideas till I find some time to get to the mechanic. Curiosity and all...

Basically when my car is just started it's making really loud tractor kind of noise more like tapping I don't think I know how to describe it, but if I rev engine up, the sound kind of goes away at around 2k rpm, well most likely, because it's covered by the burning petrol sounds.

When engine gets to it's normal working temperature it turns into really silent diesel engine alike ticking sound, revving the engine up then it really kills it as if everything's ok.

I do have a code for NOx sensor (VCDS advises to replace NOx sensor)

And Incorrect flow at EVAP system

By any chance there are known cases, that one of them could cause this ? could it do some engine damage ?

When I just bought the car it was very silent, as if it had start/stop system, but it doesn't.

I think issue is more noticeable from inside the car, than outside.

    Car: a3 8p 2.0 fsi petrol, thoughts ?

  9. Yeah, I know, I mean I was fine with it, because it was a car upgrade anyway, and upgrading battery at the same time is not the worst idea, might save some headache in the future...

The only reason why I keep updating this whole thing is to let others know what the problem is what's the syptoms what I'm doing and what to do or not to do xdddd.

At least the way I see it:

If Your EPS works for the day only, after a decent drive then most likely VCDS will not help, but recalibrating lost data can give hope, and if all the rest electronics are ok, but EPS is doing who the !Removed! knows what then it's probably not the battery either, .

I can give this much context: on ignition either EPS shows up in red "it's being checked" and goes away with working EPS afterwards, or on ignition You don't see EPS light, but ~5 seconds later get ready to see red steering light with 3 beeps, and no power steering.

    Considering, that VCDS showed, before

01309 - Power Steering Control Module (J500): No Communication (send help)

It's likely where the issue is, except I don't know exact cause. Well, find out on the next episode Gromlog goes to a mechanic. Unless You know some grounds or something, that I could check. regarding exclusively this, and if I'm not mistaken 01309 is a module, that's built inside a steering wheel perhaps there is a connector or something, that goes to the engine bay and I could at least check if it's corroded or a connector is visually busted.

And hey it's a learning experience, and at least I won't go empty handed to a mechanic, context should help to not waste precious time on procedures, that won't do jack !Removed!.
