Hi Gareth Yes, sorry to confirm it was a clutch slip. It was still driveable but could only use up to 3rd gear. I am at a loose end with Audi, I thought a 2019 car would have been very reliable. Thank you so much for your advice charlotte x

Hi everyone, I am just looking for some advice really on what to do best. On Friday 30th April my car wouldn't build up any speed and wouldn't go past 40mph, then when I stopped the car the smell was horrendous burning (clutch smell). The car has done 8,000 miles and Audi are now saying it's drivers fault (I've had the car 10 months and know how to drive, I don't ride the clutch like they are making out) audis warranty is only covered up to 6,000 miles and are saying it's a wear and tear item. But at 8,000 miles surely it isn't wear and tear? I'm just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with their clutch or if anyone has any advice?
