I believe all Audis for the last 18 or 19 years needed battery coding. Certainly my 2007 A3 did.

Could it be a glow plug issue?
Right I'll definitely look into that, I've got a mate coming tomorrow to check over the grounds ect.
I'll change the glow plugs as no harm in trying. Thanks I'll keep u updated!

Hi I looked on vcds and voltage is all fine when cranking but rmp is not, it tried to crank at 46 rmp, I didn't think battery needed to be coded on these? Thanks 👍

Hi looking for some help/advice regarding my b7 pd140 BRE.
I've owned for around 7 months and has always had a start issue, original warm start issue but now the weather has been cold it's started playing up all the time
It's like the car doesn't even turn over fully and around 3 attempts are needed before it fires up.
Battery is only 4ish months old and it's a full service history including cam belt a couple of years ago.
I have glow plugs ready to swap but I just can't see it being a glow plug issue seen as warm starts are also problematic.
I'm wondering whether it's either starter motor, crank/camshaft sensor, or a fuel issue. Car runs spot on otherwise.
Mileage is 146k
Thanks 🙏

Hi all. Recently purchased a 2012 (62 plate) audi a6 s line 2.0 tdi 175hp. I notice I have footwell lights that only come on at night when the door opens. On my previous audi the footwell lights stayed on while driving. Is there any way of getting this to happen on my a6.
I'm able to do simple coding with clear instruction if that helps. Thanks

My understanding is that it has to be plugged into a computer direct to Audi Germany to get the sat nav activated. By all means by an SD card but I don't believe it will work. On your mmi screen I'm guessing satnav is greyed out. If it was available it wouldn't be greyed out even if an SD card wasn't fitted but should be if that makes sense.
Sorry for my extremely late reply... the nav isn't grayed out so should I be able to plug the sd in and it will work? Thanks

Hi,
I bought my A1 in April. The dealership told me that if I wanted satnav I needed an SD card. I have seen these cards on eBay anywhere from £40-£100. Should I be able to just plug it in then thats it or will I have to get it activated. (Please note my car has the nav button and 2 SD card slots.) Also is it any Audi SD card or does it have to be specifically for this model.
Thanks 👍

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me! I've just bought an A1 (2014 model) and it's has the light package. Now I'm particularly talking about the lights under the door cards that light up on a night. I ordered off eBay some new ones that say S-line. I fitted these today and only the passenger one works. I have checked all fuses etc. All seems ok. At first it worked a little now not at all. Is this a problem with my Audi or the lights I purchased? I'm not much of a car guy especially when it comes to electric components. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😃 I should also add that the previous original ones worked! But since the new ones the drivers original one doesn't even work anymore.
Pd140 bre weak start issue help!!

Hi guys update. So replaced Glow plugs to no avail, then checked all grounds and also wiring to the starter. We found that the connector and a few wires were corroded so got them repaired.
The issue improved so knew we were on the right track, double checked wiring and all was ok. Decided to remove the actual starter and the gear was worn! Replaced the starter today, finally fixing the issue!!
I'm surprised the gear was worn to be honest, I didn't think that was an issue with it being a modern car. It's a pre engaged unit so shouldn't be wearing? I don't know.
Thanks for your help anyways! Appreciate it 🙂
