  1. When my sensor was changed the garage could not find the warning stored so all was find after. The only stored warning was low tyre pressure on all 4 wheels, which was not true. I am rapidly losing confidence in my A4 Audi.
  2. Do you believe it, Audi head office claim they are not aware of such an issue!!!! You should send them the quote for repairs.
  3. I have just had a phone call from Andrew Doyle's Executive Customer Relations Manager to say they are not aware of any issues with the sensor or the ABS braking system and as I had the sensor replaced at an independent garage and not a Audi main dealer they can not investigate it. I explained that I went to an independent garage as the Main Dealer, that has been looking after the car, could not book it in until mid July. I said I am concerned that the sensor could fail again, luckily this time I was local, next time it might be difference. My confidence level with the car is now low but hopefully I will be proved wrong as I like the car. Thanks to the members that advised me to get the sensor changed before I damaged the ABS unit.
  4. The address was on a previous post but it is customer services on customer.services@audi.co.uk and the UK director on andrew.doyle@audi.co.uk
  5. I have emailed Audi but we need all those that have had this failure to contact Audi. They have replied saying they will investigate.
  6. Just picked up my car from the garage after having the pressure sensor replaced, all appear to be fine. I really think this should be a recall item as it is a known fault and being brakes a safety issue. Does anyone know how we can bring it to the attention of Audi, any contacts etc as the main dealers do not appear to be interested.
  7. I thought the ABS units could be refurbished at a fraction on a new unit or am I wrong.
  8. Marc, did it fix the problem? My car goes in tomorrow.
  9. Hi Steve, the only fault that was on the history was tyre pressure, nothing on brakes/ABS. I read another post that also reported this was the case. The garage owner however did not give up and contacted this support team and they confirmed this is normal and the pressure sensor should be replaced before the car is driven again, they are hopeful the ABS unit has not been damaged.
  10. I agree, this should be a Audi recall, it must be a safety issue if it can causes a brake fault. The garage that is investigating the problem for me has been told that the car should not be driven as it could lock up the ABS unit and if this happens the complete unit would need to be replaced. The unit is £1500 plus fitting etc. The sensor which needs replacing is on back order from Germany as there has been such demand for them in the UK, that tells the story.
  11. Very strange, just went to drive it to the garage this morning and it is working as normal and the warning has disappeared. Left it with the garage for them to check the fault history. I could not find a local Audi garage that could look at it until July so I have gone to general garage.
  12. Thanks Glen. I read one post that suggests on the 2017 model the complete ABS pump has to be replaced as the sensor is an integral part of the unit and can not be replaced. Do you know if this is the fact.
  13. Thanks Steve. Is that the sensor within the ABS unit or somewhere else.
  14. I am new to this forum so I may be in the wrong area. I have the warning light "Brake Servo Restricted" come on. Brake can only really be used if pressed slowly, if more pressure is applied they almost lock up and the ABS activates I think. The main dealer can not look at the car until July, it has only done 24,000 miles and just over 3 years old. They suggested I may need a complete new ABS system but I have read on this post that other people have just had the "booster pressure sensor" replaced, am I correct? Any help would be appreciated.
