  1. ok, so i went and got me a vcds. tis thing is pretty gd. this is the fault code i keep getting. ive changed the high pressure switch at the bottom of the block but really hoping i dont need to do the low pressure one as it looks a pig to get to. 1 Fault Found: 5581 - Oil Pressure Switch P164A 00 [039] - Implausible Signal Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00000001 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 5 Mileage: 203152 km Date: 2021.07.03 Time: 14:55:55 Engine RPM: 0.00 /min Normed load value: 0.0 % Vehicle speed: 0 km/h Coolant temperature: 20 °C Intake air temperature: 23 °C Ambient air pressure: 1000 mbar Voltage terminal 30: 9.980 V Unlearning counter according OBD: 40 Crankshaft speed (RPM): 0.0 /min Vehicle speed: 0.00 km/h Vehicle voltage terminal 30: 14060 mV Accelerator position: 0.00 % C Eng Ds T u Raw: 1238.6 mV Co Eng st: COENG_READY Engine oil temperature: 46.7 °c if someone can give me of advice on the fault or vcds i would appreciate it.
  2. This is a wierd one. So when I put the key in and press once before starting the engine, a warning and beeps say 'low oil pressure do not start engine'. Surely with the engine not running, the oil will not be under pressure. Am I looking at a new switch?
  3. So, fitted a new belt. Was fairly easy to do. Managed to get a bar with a t60 socket down between rad and engine block to get to the tensioner. The lower bracket holding the wiring for PVC and pressure switch was the fiddly bit
  4. So today on my travels driving around, the auxilery belt went and snapped leaving me calling the RAC. I now need to fit a new one to my q5 3.0 TDI. Anyone got any tips on fitting a new belt?
  5. Ok, so I believe it to be injector 5 or 6, whichever the bank the cylinder on driver's side near the turbo is. Voltages are all over the place whereas the other injector connectors seem to be putting out more of a constant voltage. Tracing it back to the ecm will be fun.😒
  6. Any idea what it means by group B? I'm gonna check all the voltages and ohms of all the injectors and connectors later and see what that brings me.
  7. My bad. The code they got was p2149.
  8. So a garage has confirmed the code of p1249, but unsure of it's meaning. So now I'll go to Audi and ask them I suppose. Also had pre-cat o2 sensor come up on their diagnostics system. Thinking thatl be coz of the previous code.
  9. that article says could be an injector wiring issue with an injector on the the group B side. Which side of the v6 is group B injectors?
  10. Hello to you all. I just got myself a q5 2010 with the 3.0tdi. It goes well and I love it. Recently though, as I floor the gas pedal, the coil light comes up and goes into limp mode. I have a carista OBDii and it says code 05061. Any help pls pls pls.
