  1. Hi All, i have an A4 2 litre petrol engine, last week the warning message 'low engine oil level' came up on the dash display, i have driven the car for approx 100 miles and now the 'add engine oil level immediatly' has come up, with the oil can in red flashing on the dash display, i have added approx 4 litres of engine oil but the audible warning and the red oil can are still flashing....when i go to engine oil level on my MMI display i get a message along the lines of ' this function currently not available', and i can't check the engine oil level as there doesn't appear to be an engine oil dipstick....anyone have an idea what the problem could be please??? i have checked the owners handbook that came with the car, and it tells me that if i overfilled the oil i would get a warning symbol and or message, and also if the oil level sensor has gone i would get a symbol come up on the dashboard, at the moment neither of these two things has happened. thank you in advance for any information or help. many thanks essex boys
