  1. Hi everyone, I'm a new member of the forum but I've owned my A6 around a year or so now. I changed the timing belt and water pump yesterday, that was quite a fun job. However, now my car won't start. I have the "0" mark on the flywheel in the centre of the gearbox viewing window, the fuel pump pulley locking hole is lined up with the hole in the engine casing and the camshaft is locked in place. Since I can't even use VCDS to dial in my timing (since the enigne won't even idle), I need to use a dial gauge to set the static timing to something where I can get it to start. What should be the measurement of the fuel pump at TDC? I have an AFN 1.9t tdi (not a PD!) where you have to rotate the fuel pump, I envy all those youtubers where you just loosed the 3 pulley bolts!
