Thanks for your reply on this. Im not sure i would gain anything by updating then as I dont use the sat nav and looking into it it wouldn't give me any more than I already have. It just looks a bit dated so was hoping to update and get a better looking screen. Thanks again

I'm looking at possibly updating my firmware and sat nav in my 2011 a6 avant. I understand that the sat nav will obviously update to a newer version but will updating the firmware change anything? By this I mean the screen looks very dated and I was wandering if this will look different and wether it will give me newer options than the one currently installed? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Looking at the service history it's about 60000 miles since it was last done but I only have partial history so can't be certain. Would you say it would be better to go to an audi service centre then maybe to get it done right first time? Its still driving ok but its obviously warning me about something that needs sorting sooner rather than later.

Thanks for your reply on here Steve i will get the paperwork out and see what I can see. I didnt see anything when looking earlier but it might have been done as part of a service so ill look at the service records and see if uts been done then. It seems to say on forums ive seen that its every 40k does that seem about right?

Hi there. I've posted in a couple of areas about an issue with my audi a6 avant multitronic gearbox but I've had no replies. Am I posting in wrong areas or am I just being impatient. Any info would be much appreciated

Hi there im new to this forum and wondered if anyone can advise me on an issue with my audi a6 avant. I've had the car a couple of months and no issues but after a few hours driving the other day it came up with an Amber warning gearbox malfunction and said I could continue driving. After a few miles the warning disappeared then the morning after it re appeared and went after a few miles driving. Ive just returned from holiday and since then it appears evertime I start the car and goes after a few miles. Is there a simple fix for this issue maybe it needs more oil in the gearbox or a possible gearbox service or is it going to be a big job? I was given 12 months rac warranty with the car when I purchased it so maybe that will cover any work thats required.
