Audi a3 Front seat won't ratchet up or down

Ok. If I find out how to fix it I will let you know. Was it easy to take the seat out? I may do that to see. -
We have a 5 door 2009 Audi A3 and the seat won’t adjust up or down. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue? Thank so much
