  1. So £250 for clutch kit? Does that include release bearing? And concentric slave cylinder? Was it from dealers?
  2. So where did you get the parts from? And what was all the parts exactly? Can you individual price for each part? Thanks.
  3. The cylinder inside the gearbox has failed, can it affect the clutch or flywheel? My mechanic says just the flywheel is faulty, the clutch is fine but both needs replacing.
  4. My mechanic says flywheel needs doing as well, but I listened 2 the car engine, there's no unusual engine noise at all. Is it possible for a faulty flywheel to not give engine rattling noise?
  5. The car is on 170k, I bought the car at 140k, I've no idea when the clutch was last changed. Clutch and flywheel is 1500 frm tps, I'm hoping to avoid that lol
  6. And any idea what that knocking noise could be? It only started after it broke down, its like a single metal knock noise every half a second while I drove it.
  7. Hi. My car broke down, the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor, the cylinder had failed, I managed to ram the gearbox into first gear, then drove in 1st gear further along the road for about 15 seconds to park up, did doing that harm anything? There was also a metal knock noise underneath the car while I was doing that. Thanks
  8. Hi. My clutch pedal was stuck to floor, it's the cylinder which is inside gearbox, but apparently the flywheel needs doing too but the engine is not making any strange noise, could it still be flywheel if there's no unusual noise? Also when I had it towed, can it harm the flywheel if gearbox was in gear while being pulled onto towtruck? And can a cylinder leak harm the flywheel? Thanks
  9. So how many hours labour would this be?
  10. Hi. I got a cylinder fault inside the gearbox, the gearbox itself needs taking out completely 2 get 2 the cylinder, is there an easier way 2 replace the cylinder? Something that wud save time an money. Thanks.
  11. Hi everyone. Just wanted to ask what could be causing the problem, I don't know if its cylinder or clutch or something else. The symptoms I've got is squeaking clutch when I press it, in the morning it bangs when I put it in reverse, after motorway run the gearbox won't go into any gears at first, the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor then popped by up by itself after a few seconds. And now in the morning it won't go into any gears but I keep trying then it works fine. The gearbox changes gear perfectly with engine off, then I turn engine on an it struggles 2 get into gear. Thanks
  12. Hi all. My first time here. I've had the dpf gutted out, egr valve blanked, adblue deleted. All have been remapped from ecu. Since then the engine is sometimes making noise, like a rumble then a click. I noticed the turbo actuator arm moves up and down whenever it makes that noise. And when I turn engine off, I hear 1 or 2 clicking noise. Also when I drive, the car jerks everytime i accelerate or decelerate. Has anyone else has these problems after a remap? What needs doing? Thanks.
