  1. There's a thread in the Q5 section under Gearbox Service that might help although it is a different ZX Gearbox. It may be sealed for life according to Audi but according to ZF it needs servicing. I expect yours will be the same, It may be a complicated process and best left to a specialist unless you are a very competent DIYer. ZF do/did supply service kits.
  2. Then I think you should go for it. Enjoy it if you do.
  3. Ah ok. As I said, if it's Audi Approved I'd have no problem going for it. If not I'd need to thoroughly check the service was done on time within the leeway Audi would allow for warranty claims. I think it's 30 days leeway.
  4. It's just occurred to me the 2023 SQ5 is a TDI not TFSI. Did you mean SQ5?
  5. Yeah that's what I thought it might be and I edited my post. It should have been on fixed 12 month servicing (less than 10k miles per year) but personally I wouldn't be worried about it but there are probably many on here who would be. Trouble is you never know how a car has been driven even if it has been serviced regularly. I've previously had a Q5 similarly serviced when I got it and had no trouble at all. Like I said it wouldn't worry me but based on what you said about your S3 servicing you may disagree. I think you're more likely to get more problems with electricals or transmission and ancilliaries than you are with the parts of the engine affected by the oil change. If the car had gone 5 or 6 years on the same intervals I would think twice. If it's Audi approved then should be fine if not then I would walk away.
  6. For me it would depend on how many months have elapsed between first registration and first service. Is it the full 2 years or less? Registered Dec 2023 and serviced in Jan 2025 would only be 13 months. Registered Jan 2023 and serviced August 2025 is 32 Months so really more detail is required for a definite answer. If you're saying it's gone the full 24 months for 14k miles it should have been on fixed intervals. Personally I wouldn't be too worried but would go with the fixed schedule going forward.
  7. I answered this question yesterday when someone else asked about towing, There is an air suspension toggle for towing under CAR/Settings and service. I do wish Audi would make things easier to understand and find!

As stated the service record is digital but you can ask the dealer for a full printout, Also you can use the My audi app to keep a track. Sometimes the information for certain things is difficult to find but I was led to believe if it's a factory fit tow bar it automatically adapts everything for towing when electrics are connected. Incidentally, I removed my side steps because all they did was make it difficult to get in and out and dirty my trousers.
  10. I've never used these data plans as they are too expensive. As long as you have Audi connect for navigation (traffic etc) which you will I just use my mobile phone with Carplay for streaming music with spotify.
  11. Nobody has posted about this but as it's a known problem ant there is a TSB in various parts of the world about it I thought I'd post my experience. It may be better in another part of the site as it's relevant to all Quattro Ultra. I drive briskly but not hard so I don't know how often the rear differential engages. I was waiting to turn right at traffic lights. a sharp 90 degree turn. Somebody waved me across so I had to go quickly with steering on full lock and the car juddered as if it was a worn clutch but coming from the rear. I booked the car in and discovered it only happened when I'd driven at least 6 miles and I was able to replicate the fault easily by pulling away reasonably quickly with steering on half to full lock. So over a period of 10 weeks Visit 1 Software update 1 day not fixed Visit 2 Clutch adaptation (driving round in figures of eight while plugged into a laptop fixing the clutches in place) apparently to wear down any rough surfaces on the clutch pack. 3 days not fixed. Visit 3 as above 6 days not fixed. They may have also something with the propshaft coupling. Visit 4 1 day not fixed. Took Master tech out to again demonstrate the fault. I made sure the car was warmed up and I didn't even need to live the car park to show him. I left the car with him. Visit 5 5 days may be fixed but early days. I've been told to drive 200 miles for the transmission to adapt to my driving style. "The technician carried out an adaption drive on the clutch pack for the prop shaft and also changed the 4 wheel coupling oil" So I'll let you know how I get on in a week or so but I'm glad I wasn't paying. I also had a puncture so I replaced both tyres on the same axle with the same tyres as the car came with so I avoided any complications with mismatched tyres.
  12. Just a thought, have you looked at the tyre pressure plate on the car? If Audi supply a 16 inch wheel as standard for the A1 the appropriate tyre size will be on there. I suspect it will only be for M&S tyres. Suggest 215/50r16 are probably the best fit. As a previous poster said, check the offset so it clears the brake callipers. If wheels are from a similar VW group car then they will probably be ok. You can buy spacers but it's not ideal.
  13. I do find the conclusions extremely useful when researching problems even if they've decided to do nothing and live with whatever problem they've got.
  14. Does anybody else get frustrated when people post a question, get suggestions and then never come back with a follow up to say how or if the problem was solved? Surely it's only good manners and it helps people with similar problems.
  15. Problem with all this is (apart from octane benefit in tuned engines) there is lack of evidence obtained in a controlled environment and all of the supposed benefits are long term. So apart from having two identical engines run for 100k miles in similar circumstances on the different fuels and then dismantling them, it's all guesswork. Is it marketing hype for more profit or real benefit? Those who buy on 3 year PCP then change car won't see any benefit. If your injectors block after 100k miles you still won't know it they've been affected by the fuel. Hence there is always disagreement on the benefits.
  16. Sorry that this is so late but I haven't looked this far back before. I did loads of research on this because My X3 with 8 speed gearbox that I had at the time was also sealed for life. A self fulfilling prophecy in my opinion. If you want life to be longer, service it. I found on the ZF transmission site that they recommended 60-80k miles for fluid change. I found a ZF transmission specialist in Newcastle who quoted £480 for oil and filter replacement. (5 years ago). As far as I could tell the problems caused by particles getting disturbed was only when the gearbox had been run well over the service intervals. Hope it helps someone.
  17. The main differences in the fuel between normal and super are Super is higher octane generally 97-99 as opposed to 95. Wasted if your car isn't tuned for it. Super is E5. Normal is E10. People have reported worse fuel consumption with E10. Personally I always used E5 in our petrol car but it wasn't high mileage so the cost penalty wasn't great. The brands appear to have superior additives in their E10 and even more in their E5 super. Cleaner fuel lines and injectors etc. Price!!!! Loads of threads on this with no conclusions and lots of arguments. The only benefit for your car would be the cleaning benefits. In my diesel I used branded or supermarket diesel with a dose of Millers with occasional tanks of BP ultimate.
  18. Can't imagine it would be a problem
  19. Sorry for late reply. My car has factory fit sunroof. sidesteps and tow bar. There are no towing restrictions,

Hi I have a similar problem but not from the front. A juddering from underneath/rear the car when going from a standstill with full lock in and accelerating briskly. Mine only happens when warmed up. There is a TPi or TSB whatever it's called for Quattro Ultra.. So far they've done a software update and a clutch adaptation (twice) but it isn't fixed. It goes in next week for a clutch pack replacement on the rear transmission. My car is fortunately still under Manufacturer's warranty.
