Thanks for input Steve - much appreciated. I'm just concerned that the wiring is not the same, and I'd end up pulling out the whole interior to install the Bose harness. I've approached a company in sweeden that did a retrofit, so hopefully they don't mind answering my questions and it becomes clearer.

Hi All, I'm looking to upgrade the sound system in my A6 C7 Avant 2014 sline. It has the standard concert audio system. I'm currently considering either a speaker and amp install or a full (used from ebay) bose system retrofit. I have no experience with audio systems, but have worked on cars and stripped out an A6 interior trim due to a water ingress issue! So have some experience for the install. All advice and suggestions would be appreciated, especially spec and methodology for the speaker and amp install, and what is entailed in a bose retrofit. Thanks Louis
