When I first start to play music the front door speakers sound rough. After a few minutes it sounds okay. If I park and want to play the music at low volume, it again sounds rough, lots of bass distortion. As soon as I pump it up and drive it sounds okay again. Any ideas? This is an 03 A6 C5.

Don’t know about anything else, but you can reprogram the key fairly easily. I just found a couple of guides on YouTube.

I got one of these and it works well. I do not use the USB, however. I do use the hands free phone and I stream music from my phone. I do have a problem with space behind the Symphony 2 full Bose system, head unit, though, can’t get it fully back in. Just got an 03 A6 Avant. (I regard it at as a future classic). Probably going to have a lot of questions as I sort through all it’s little niggles. She is on 147k and has been owned and maintained by a mechanic for the last 17 years.
