  1. Thanks I agree and will keep all posted. Paul
  2. Thanks Gareth, I'm torn between rejecting the car and getting a replacement although looking at the Dealers group stock they have nothing similar mileage for the same cost(perhaps the cost has gone up again?)or requesting a full refund subject to below. I only purchased the car on 9/12/21 and yes I part exchanged my A4 Avant which was 2018 with 24k miles on the clock. Not sure if the value would have gone up in a few weeks ? Like I said the first 4 wheel drive fault developed within 1-2 miles of leaving the dealership and then after collecting the "fixed"car the heater fault appeared. Both the sales man and sales manager have "underplayed" the faults. I will keep everyone posted. Many thanks Paul
  3. Thanks all confidence has been lost...this is the reply to the heater fault from the sales manager "I can fully understand that you must be worried about the vehicle you have purchased. The fault that they have identified is not a big fault it is just difficult to access hence the rather long time frame."...he then went onto say it would take a full 3 days to repair the fault which in my mind does not equate to a small fault.
  4. Thanks for the reply, they were cagey as to why a new rear diff was required. It was a throw away remark from the sales rep that they had spent £5k on the car. All tyres looked to be newish with plenty of tread. I've asked the garage to confirm re the 30 days as the copy of the guarantee they gave me did not have the T & C's on the reverse...
  5. Can I get members thoughts...just bought a used Q5 TDI Aug'18 with 16k miles from a main dealer, within 1 mile after collection the car developed a warning light re the 4 wheel driver system and I took the car back, the eventually diagnosed the problem and I was assured it wasn't major and leant me a new Q5 while they ordered the part. The part arrived and they took 3 days to fit and they asked me that car required a new rear diff costing them approx £5k. I drove the car away only to find that the heater on the passenger side was pumping out ice cold air yet the passenger side was normal. I took the car back again and at cob they advised that whilst the faulty part was small it would be a 3 day job to fit...this is despite the car going through an Audi 149 quality check. Can I have any thoughts as to what the problems could have been been ? The dealer is being cagey and I have advised them that I'm rejecting the car under their 30 day/1000 mile warranty. Should I get another Q5 or just ask for my money back ? Thanks
