  1. More money.....🤬 Seriously considering getting shot of it. Its cost me nearly £3k in repairs over the last 2 years
  2. And so it continues.... Car went in to the independent Audi garage I've used a few times before and sure enough it was a broken level sensor which they replaced. However the air suspension isn't operating now as the car is throwing up faults to do with the towbar. This is a factory fitted towbar and there's never been an issue with it before. Car is driveable but sitting down at the rear left (the level sensor that was changed). Car going back in on Monday for further investigation. In the meantime anyone had a similar issue?
  3. Having had the air compressor on my 2016 A6 Allroad in February last year the car has developed another air suspension fault this week. Yellow warning triangle came on and the Air Suspension Fault message I've scanned the car with my OBDEleven and the fault codes are C10C800 Function Deactivation Active C104807 Level Control System Sensor The car is presently stuck in Allroad mode ie. fully up and won't go down. Car booked in to my local Audi specialist on Friday but in the meantime any pointer on what it could be Thanks
  4. Probably why it was a "hell of a job" 🤨
  5. That was the price including parts. Wheel bearing was £43 + VAT
  6. Just over £200 to get a front wheel bearing replaced by an independent Audi specialist. Mechanic said it was "a hell of a job"
  7. Despite a couple of mechanical issues I love my A6 Allroad. Great car to drive, quiet, comfortable and the engine pulls like a train. I regularly tow a caravan and had had no issues. Its very stable when towing the 'van. On occasion I have also towed trailers full of logs and builders rubble right up to the 2500kg towing capacity. Again I have had no issues doing this. The only issue I have with the car is the boot isn't really that big with the rear seats in position. I find I get 35 - 38 mpg and I live in a rural area with no motorways/dual carriageways so its mostly A-roads and twisty/turny B-roads. The car handles great in all weather conditions and on the odd occasion there is snow it feels safe as I fitted a set of Vredestein 4-season tyres .
  8. My 2016 A6 Allroad now has a noise that humming/whining sounds like a front wheel bearing. The car has only done 46000 miles. Is it a common problem or am I just unlucky? Anyway an idea of potential repair costs would be appreciated.
  9. Just an update on this. Had the Nox sensor replaced by a local Audi independent. Best part of £500 for the sensor 😮. Car driving great now
  10. Thanks Steve Q. Unfortunately there seems to be a myriad of part nos.
  11. Hi all, I have had the yellow engine warning symbol coming on intermittently over the last couple of weeks. I have scanned the car and the fault code I get is: P229E00 Nox Sensor Bank 1/Sensor 2 Intermittent/Static Is replacing a Nox sensor something that is within the realms of a DIY mechanic or would I be better going to my local independent Audi specialist? What sort of money is in one of these sensors? Thanks
  12. Hi folks, The yellow engine management light came on yesterday and is on again today. A quick scan of the owner's manual says its a fault with the engine emission system. Is this likely to be something as simple as an oxygen sensor or something more (expensive) Car is a 2016 A6 Allroad with approx. 46000 miles on the clock
  13. That's the car repaired. The compressor relay had failed causing the compressor motor to burn out. I managed to source a reconditioned compressor which the Audi specialist fitted along with a new relay. They also checked the rest of the system for any leaks etc and it was OK. Everything appears to be working OK now.
  14. Update - took the car to another independent Audi specialist. Verdict from them is the whole compressor has failed.
  15. Hi Gareth, it ait suspension all round. The compressor is in the boot under the floor
  16. Update on this problem Took the car to an independent Audi specialist today. He looked at the car and inspected all the suspension components. Said he couldn't find any leaks. Also said there was no fault codes coming up on VCDS. He did mention though that it might be seals in the compressor. He did suggest that I took the car to Glasgow Audi to have the suspension system pressure tested. I'm very loath to do this after a previous bad experience with them. Should I go to another Audi specialist in Glasgow area for a second opinion?
  17. I've not scanned for faults as I don't have a scanner. Also have the adaptive headlight fault light and message up as well
  18. My 2016 A6 Allroad has developed some sort of air suspension fault. The yellow warning triangle came on last week with the message "Air Suspension Fault" . Car still drove ok but felt a bit vague in the rear. On Monday the the red warning triangle came on with the warning message "Air Suspension Fault - do not exceed 35mph" This morning the car is sitting very low at the rear and the red warning triangle and fault message came on almost immediately after start up. I have booked the car into an Audi specialist I have used a couple of times before. However they are 45 miles from my home. Will the car be safe to drive to tthem? Also any pointers on what could be wrong? I'm hoping its a leaking valve but I'm prepared for having to replace the compressor or individual suspension air bag units
