  2. Hi Guys, I had an A3 tfsi 1.4 from new in 2013 and replaced it in Oct 20 with a new 1.5 Sport petrol manual. The gearbox was notchy (which was ok), but say once or twice on a 30 mile trip you would be sure you had engaged 4th (only ever effected 4th) but you hadn't, and the gear grinded. This went on ever trip and it took a few weeks to feel when it might happen. Dealership had it in and said it was within acceptable parameters. I've driven many cars over 40+ years and easily the worse gearbox I have known. After a year or so decided I couldn't live with it and recently sold the car. Does none else know of anything similar or was I just unlucky? Many thanks.
