  1. Yesterday I had a major fuel leak caused by the fuel line rubbing on the car body creating a pin hole, thus forcing petrol out under pressure; lost about a quarter of a tank. The filter is on the off side in the location under the rear passenger seat. To access the filter you have to remove a cover plate. The filter connections face towards the rear of the car, the affected fuel line turns back on its self and rubs on the underside of the car body (poor design in my opinion). Having the filter and fuel line replaced next week.
  2. Hi all, new to the site, my Audi is an Avant, 1.8t auto 2003. Just had the oil changed in the gear box which cured a terrible shudder and over revving, it now runs really sweet. Having some more work done in a couple of weeks, re-mapped, new exhaust and lowered springs, will let you know how I get on and post some pics All the best A4geezer
  3. Hi try this, I had the same problem; remove the plastic cover from the wiper arm (the part that connects to the main body by the rear windscreen) the plastic cover will pull off with gently force; it has two snake eyes where the washer jet are. Under the cover is a small housing, unscrew this and clean the jets, a sewing needle should do it, replace in the reverse order and align the snake eyes with the needle. Good luck hope this works
