after some help please, did the service on my car yesturday and no problems at all, but i did notice that all the discs were looking well worn, so today i have changed all four discs and pads, only problems i had were the little grub screw that holds the disc on had no grip on them, some one had over tightened them and took out the hex pattern, all four had to be drildes out and replaced, other than that no problems, reset the park brake using my ICarsoft, then i went for a drive...... two imeadiate problems.

    1) - absolutley no brake pedal on the first push... works fine on the second push, drove a bit further and the sme thing happened again......... any advice please?

    2) - No ESP, see handbook warning light, i am assuming this will go off after a few miles of driving it? but again any thoughts please?

    thanks Tony

Hi Tony if you can give me P.M. with your Vin and engine code I will run it through my parts system and see which ones fit your vehicle.

    Steve.

Where will I find the engine code please?

Hi if you go on LLL carparts or ZAP 7 and put your VIN in that will normally come up with the part number for the discs for your car or come to that any motor factors as they all have an Audi parts system, the problem with euros is they don't have many staff who knowhow to use a system, the VIN is the key to the build spec as with my car there's three different sizes of disc unless you give them the VIN, then you get the right size straight away.

    Steve.

have tried LLL and again it has seven (7) pictures showing brake disscs for my vehicle after inputing my vin number all different sezes, think the only way forward is to take the discs off and measure them then re fit them and go buy new ones.... what a palarvour...

  5. They certainly don't make it easy, just been onto eurocar parts, entered my reg number and looked up front discs, they list about 8 different discs of different sizes! What's the point of putting your reg in if the list them all?

    Hello Tony,

How many miles have you done in it since you last serviced it about 11 months ago?
    Kind regards,

    Gareth.
p.s. Do you do your own servicing?

To be honest without looking at the filters (I write the date and mileage on them) I don't know.

  7. Took my Le Mans to be re gassed as the air con wasn't working, I assumed there was a fault, originally told the pump was faulty, new pump bought and fitted...wasn't cheap, then I was told that the switch / sensor was bypassing air, so again new switch / sensor, again wasn't cheap, NOW they say the air con condenser is leaking.... £250+ to fix it, I can buy an original condenser for £55.00 there's no gas in the system at the moment, surely it's just bumper off, remove old condenser, fit new one and refit bumper?

Anyone changed a condenser before? Any pointers?

    Cheers Tony

  8. not a moan, just what i have done this week.

it's on it's 3rd parking sensor module, first one didn't work so i took the nubers off it and bought a second hand one, that one didn't work was for an auto estate with towing pack, bought a brand new one from Audi using the part number from my original fitted one, still didn't work, contacted Volkstech in Maltby near me, told them the story and they told me that the module was the wrong module, seems the owner before me just bought any old module and fitted it, took it down to them today, they have managed to get my new module working with heads up display for rear parking sensor but unfortunatley can't get the front ones working as the module i have is a 4 port module and mine needs a 5 port module, so i have ordered yet another new one with the correct part number and hopefully that will sort that problem. (no Audi would not take the new one back i bought from them as i told them the part number)

have taken it to be re gassed on the aircon today only to be told that my condenser has stopped working, so now i need to get that sorted.
