    Had a play around, and I think you are right. Seems to be an open circuit. After a while with the back off as well it stops working. I will have to sort getting two new keys I think. Like you said, time to get saving

    I recently changed the battery in my key. If I take the back off they key works fine with the central locking system, however, as soon as clip the last clip back in the key no longer works. I have lost my other key so currently only have the one. I called Audi and they said it would be £99 just to take a look at the key. So I am hoping someone may have come across this before. Do I need to get a second key and have them both recoded?
