Thanks again, The instrument cluster would need to have the same dial values for example top speed and revs matching the orig’ but I am wondering if I can swap from other models for example the avante has a similar design, same values and similar parts number 8E 0920 as the original 8H 0920.

Thanks for your reply Steve, I was wondering if a replacement instrument cluster must be from the exact same model? obviously it will have to be from a diesel but must it be a cabriolet - automatic - s line?

Hi there, I have a A4 diesel 2.5tdi B6 cabriolet s-line Automatic with a battery drain that has been diagnosed as coming from the instrument cluster. After diagnoses and removing the cluster the drain stopped. Question is this - can I use an instrument cluster from any A4 diesel or does it have to be the cabriolet? Also I have seen a cluster from the same model but with a different parts number, would using that cause any issues? Thanks in advanced.
