Is it basically a case of fitting the quick shifter mod on the gearbox end of the cables or a new shifter assembly too

Clutch seems fine, not slipping and goes into all the gears quite smoothly. Feels more like it’s hitting the side of a slot, like not quite going in properly if that makes any sense

Hi Guys First post so be gentle... Ive recently bought a 2007 Tdi 170 S line and have noticed sometimes its a little tricky getting into first, but fine if i go second and then into first, so thinking alignment maybe,. Ive read on a google search that there is a linkage on top that wears and can cause this... Is that the most likely as there quite a bit of movement on the stick itself.. If so, any ideas where i can get one, some said to put a short shift on instead as it helps.. Thanks in advance
