  1. Hopefully my last post. Changed the map and, without tempting fate, the engine warning light is staying off.
  2. Fuerther to my last post, I have just found a manual online which suggests the intake temp sensor is the MAP not MAF - see pic. Can this be right?
  3. Thanks again Steve. Completely checked the air box for IAT but found nothing so must be part of MAF. Fitted another brand new MAF today and the light came on with P0113 code error. Looked at the wiring but all looks good up to where it goes into the loom. Not sure where to go next but guess it needs Audi analysis and expertise (unkess my normal mechanic will look again). One more question, the MAF has 4 wires in (see pic). 1: is blank. 2: has a reading of 12+volts. 3: nothing. 4: nothing. 5: 5.01v. My understanding is the PCM sends 5v to the IAT, which then reduces this dependent on temperature and, I assume, sends back the lower voltage via either lead 4 or 3? So any break/short in the wiring must be 3 or 4? Thanks
  4. Hi. So frustrated at the moment. Keep getting a P0113 error code relating to the IAT. Car is running OK, slight loss of power. I kill the code but it comes back after a while. Car is A3 1.9tDi 2006, 130,000+ miles. Just cleaned the EGR as that was caked up. Can anyone tell me if the IAT is Integrated with the MAP or MAF? At least then I can know where to look but the internet seems to tell me it is either. Changed the MAF but code still appeared. Really appreciate any help. Thanks
  5. Hi Steve. Much appreciate your reply and sorry for the delay. Got a new MAF yesterday and fitted it to my car. Sadly, the light is still coming on with the same fault code P0236 but I missed your final comment! Please can you tell me what 'readapted' means and how do I do this
  6. HI. I have a 2006 Audi A3 Sportback 1.9td, 130+k miles owned since new. Being driven mad by the engine warning light on dash - fault code P0236 (air pressure between sensors being out of range). This started couple of years back but the car drives quite normally, at least as far as I can tell. I kill the code and it was fine for a while but recently, it comes on each time I turn on the ignition. Have replaced the MAP sensor and cleaned the MAF. BUT is there another boost sensor, sometimes called Series A? Internet says some engines have all 3 sensors but I can only find 2. Where is the other one? Any clues what to do would be very gratefully received. The car has just been serviced and they couldn't sort it. Would an Audi dedicated analyser fund the solution rather than just a generic one.
