I only just got an email re this thread 🙄 I was hoping it would be a non interference engine so new belt and off it goes. the engine code is bnb I think so was hoping for a definite answer I can get a donor engine for £300 and save the trouble from what I’ve been told, the top end smashes before the bottom end cheers
  2. Hi all. I’ve had the belt snap on my 1.8t bfb cabriolet 2004 plate. my question is, is this now a rebuild or realign and fit a new belt? is it an interference engine or not ? if the valves and guiders are snapped, it’s a binner.
