Audi A3 2010 Technik. I need to get at the back of the assembly that holds the heater fan unit on the passenger side . Ive had rats at the wiring and the damage is at the back of this unit at the point exactly where the wiring comes through the bulkhead - I cant get access from interior side of bulkhead with this assembly in place , Any ideas how I can remove this ? Im having difficulties here thanks in advance Bill

hi ive posted this issue a last month , Ive another incident to add which i believe is connected - maybe it will possibly indicate something more specific . Ive been trying to find out . Ive 2010 audi a3 , usually runs well and has been recently serviced . For the last 5 months ive had an ongoing problem with restarting the engine - engine starts from cold ok - but after running and after I switch off it does occasionally take several attempts to start again Engine could be running 5 mins or 2 hours - switch off and try to restart a few minutes or a couple of hours later and wont - no pattern whatsover - instances are becoming more frequent . The engine turns ok but no firing takes place - I have to leave the engine for 5- 10 minutes between attempts other wise it floods After a few attempts engine starts immediately - like throwing a switch . no coaxing or spluttering involved . Its 1600cc petrol. Latest incident yesterday - accelerating coming out of a roundabout the engine lost power , the clocks were still lit up- I went down gears then after 6-8 seconds and before the car stopped engine kicked back into life and continued with my journey . Fortunate this time - but im sure that will happen again and may not be so lucky Does anyone have any suggestions as to what can be wrong?

its petrol 1600cc . the problem occurs intermittently - could be running for days or weeks without any issue - problem started May this year very occasionally - a handful of times really - but the incidence is becoming more frequent over the last couple of weeks
