  1. I will look about wynns dpf solution tomorrow, order it if can’t get it . I also had the o2 sensor out, jus little spot, but cleaned it also. I only see 1 dpf sensor mounted at back of engine with 2 pipes going into it . Is there any way of testing this, or maybe I should get 1 ?
  2. I can only thank you very much for your knowledge, time and effort to reply to me . Yes, I think I understand what you have said . I believe the previous owner knew yes . I have now fitted the genuine, well ( Bosch ) maf , still waiting on the map sensor, hopefully tomorrow. I managed to get the egt sensor based on that code, and have fitted it also. I drove it for 14 miles there and range dropped fairly quickly at start off driving then settled . brought back give it a once over and scan it again here . it dropped only 35 miles on this journey as opposed to the 3/4 tank to 15 miles the last time .
  3. Think I’m sorted with sensor no . 03l 906 088BE might try getting some dpf solution into it through the 3rd egt sensor hole, and trying another regeneration. is this safe enough to do, so as doesn’t suck it into egr, and into cylinders ?
  4. that’s the soot content, after regen which was same beforehand
  5. I bought different tools today, crows foot spanners, sensor sockets and eventually got it off . And eventually found the plug, which I had plugged out twice the other night I realised but hadn’t shown on computer like other 2 sensors did . No idea why, but happy to find it . Can’t read part no properly though. Do you, or anyone know what part no. Sensor 1 is ? think last few digits are. “ 088 BE “
  6. Your a gentleman, I’ll do that tomorrow. as I’ve still no idea where it plugs in, and god knows how im going get it off . Loooks like a stripping match to get at it, maybe cut the end off it and try possibly with a socket if im able . ordered maf and map sensor today from parts in motion as u suggested. can’t order egt sensor til be sure off part no if I can get it off . hoping can get a blowtorch on it maybe 🙈
  7. Where should I go on vcds to check egr . I checked somewhere that can’t remember now but it said error, tried it few times but no joy . I have a Delphi system also I might try
  8. The 1st pic is what it reads when I bring it up to around 1000 rpm, 2nd pic is idling. Although I have the maf disconnected whilst doing so still
  9. Ok, I’ll keep looking for the plug end . and I’ll order a new maf also, as I have the part no . Do you know if this car has a map sensor, where it is by any chance ? and if so , any recommendations for testing it please. you’ve been so helpful and it’s much appreciated, thankyou so far for everything
  10. No idea where it plugs it yet 🙈 Do you still think this is a possible cause to the unbelievable amount of diesel it’s using ?
  11. Cheers, by any chance is that no.1 tucked in a really awkward place at bottom of the manifold ?
  12. Hi Steve do you happen to know if this engine actually has 4 egt sensor’s, an no.2 is reading 0. wondering if the sensor exists, or if it’s faulty ? thanks
  13. Sorry, live data ok, thanks
  14. Ok, lovely . 🙈 just see if it operates on special functions menu ?
  15. That’s the pics off my engine.
  16. Have you any opinions on the MAF sensors on eBay, or would I be better getting a genuine one, or read what it’s saying 1st on vcds ?
  17. Thanks Steve I’ll get a picture in next few days . Probably Tue evening before I get back to it . I read bits off a post you were in , and saw u recommend hydra maximus . I think I’ll get some and start using it in the few vehicles I have . Have you any suggestions on a product to help with keeping dpf’s fairly healthy ?
  18. Cheers Steve I got a bit off a look at those posts and think they’re helpful also . My engine code is the cglc as far as I mind . I have a copy of vcds which should be good enough to identify them I think .
  19. Hi Stevey I really appreciate your reply and help. I will get back to this car again in a few days and make a start at looking at those sensors . Are there 2 egt sensors do you know, and are these just after the turbo ?
  20. Ok, thanks i was assuming the same , but don’t know . I’m completely out of ideas as to what is wrong with this car
