  1. Hi there, Have an audi a4 cabriolet which had an airbag module showing fault code 0003 - Module defective Got a replacement module of same part number. Took battery off, unplugged old module, plugged new one in. Checked that the coding matched and then ran VIN adaption. Afterwards the airbag light went off, happy days. I moved the airbag module slightly to bolt it down (ignition still on) and all the pretensioners fired, along with the roll protection. None of the airbags fired. Its as if the car thought it had been rolled. The replacement module will no longer communicate with VCDS. Fuses are fine. I am wondering what steps I have missed, or what may have happened? Inside the module is two tubes which might be roll sensors, unsure though as I cannot find any evidence to confirm this. I am leaning towards the possibility of the new module being faulty as it doesnt talk anymore. Anyone have any clues? Don't want to repeat this all again with another module. 😞 Thank you all
