  1. If you are talking about the audi mmi internal oil reader then its just as simple as warming the car up, aim for oil temperature of 60 degress or higher, and then just following the steps in the video. Make sure the car is on level ground. If you were talking about calibrating the Laser 4807 Oil Dipstick it has a measurement where you can tighten the knob which acts as the dipstick limiter. For my car i used 46mm but that may vary from engine to engine. a wrong length dipstick will just give an incorrect reading. I dont' think it will cause any issues but i'm not an expert.
  2. Hey so i followed this video to get my oil level reading working again and then slowly added oil at a time until i got between min and max reading: This is a great tool aswell which i can vouch for: Laser 4807 Oil Gauge/Dipstick Sadly there doesnt seem to be a permanent dipstick solution which i think is an oversight and just poor from Audi
  3. Hi all, I’m trying to source a permanent engine oil dipstick for my Audi A5 B8.5 2.0 TDI Diesel (CGL engine, 177 hp, 2011-2017). The car originally doesn’t come with a dipstick, only an electronic oil level sensor. I’ve found dipsticks with OEM numbers 06J115611E/F but they seem to fit only 2.0T petrol or different engines. The part number 03L115611H, often mentioned, appears not to exist or is gearbox-related. Can anyone confirm the correct OEM dipstick part number for the 2.0 TDI CGL engine? Also, recommendations on where to buy a genuine or quality aftermarket dipstick would be much appreciated! Before anyone suggests i've purchased a Laser 4807 Oil Gauge/Dipstick for now, but i'd like a permanent engine oil dipstick. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi, I'm looking to buy both front and rear brake discs and pads for an Audi A5 2014 2.0 TDI 177bhp. On any part seller they have multiple brake discs and pad sizes and im confused on which part i need. I've attached 4 Images which shows disks and pads that have disc mm of either 320 or 314mm. Which one do i opt for? if i get 320mm discs does it have to match with a 320mm pad or will the 314mm work? is there a general rule of thumb? also are the larger pads and discs considered stronger brakes? Thanks for any answers
  5. I have an Audi A5 2014 Coupe S Line (2.0 TDI 177HP) I can't figure out which rear shock absorbers I should be buying do I need the one with sports suspension or not? I'm not sure what I have currently, will either work fine? I've been looking at Euro car parts only at the moment, any suggestions for other websites or a certain brand of shock absorbers are welcome. (I've heard Monroe is good)
