  1. So I have an 8y 35TDI stage 1 running 230hp and my front brake pads are kind of noisy (car is at 25000 miles). I've had the car since 18000 miles and since then the braking performance has felt about exactly the same. However, I feel like they aren't really as strong as I would like them to be so I was wondering whether I should upgrade the pads because I would like them to bite hard even with a little bit of braking pressure. At the moment they are rather smooth and good for casual driving but I don't care for that. I've been looking through forums and really been getting my head in a twist. I really don't know enough so I don't want to make a purchase without advice. Is it better if I upgrade the whole braking system or just get new pads? And if you could recommend some specific parts that would be great! Thanks :)
