  1. Hi - quick update as car has just been in to the garage. There’s a small leak coming from the pipe at the bottom of the radiator and there is also some staining on the rad itself so being advised to swap the rad out which I will probably do.
  2. I took the car for a drive around the block last night and had the red coolant warning appear with the turn your engine off message. I was only one road from home so got it back and temp didn’t get above 90. Obviously I need to get it to a garage so I will fill the coolant up and see if it holds to get it the 2-3 min journey to the local garage. My question - should I just top it up with water or use the non g12 coolant (Prestone) that I bought? I’ve read that mixing coolant isn’t a great idea. Any advice?
  3. I actually think this is a coolant leak. Can’t see anything obvious around the cap or any of the pipes on view. Will book it into the garage and try and limit driving in the meantime.
  4. I can’t see any power steering reservoir either. I have a 2014 B8.5. Is it a sealed system?
  5. Thanks both. Seems to be clear and not oily but difficult to tell as it’s dripped onto gravel on the drive. Have put some newspaper underneath to try and get a better look just to add that when the car is turned off there is a whining sound that last 30-60 seconds. It seems to be in the same area as the leak. I’m new to Audi so no idea if this is normal or not.
  6. Hi everyone, I’m after some help please! I’ve just noticed a leak from the front nearside. The undertray is catching it so suspect the leak could be elsewhere. I thought it was coolant but not so sure as the levels seem fine. Just wondering if this is something common or any tips on things to check. Thanks!
  7. Hi, I’m looking for an A4 B8 passenger door mirror; electric, heated and power folding. Preferably in blue but can swap the shell or paint it if needed. Thanks
  8. So it transpires the folding motor has been damaged and the glass has also been replaced by glueing a replacement on top which is why the glass doesn’t sit properly inside the casing. So new mirror it is….
  9. Hi - thanks for the tip. I’ll give that a go and see how I get on. The mirror does move manually which makes me think the motor isn’t engaged. The folding bothers me less than not being able to tilt the glass all the way, eg when in reverse it tilts down a bit but seems to then catch the frame which means the angle isn’t enough to see the wheels and keep.
  10. Hi All - new member here after buying my first A4. I’ve recently bought a 2014 A4 Avant and very impressed so far. One issue with the passenger mirror - these are the heated and folded mirrors. The drivers side folds in when I use the switch on the door but the passenger one doesn’t move, although it sounds like the motor is still working. I’m guessing the mirror must have been hit previously as the glass doesn’t sit in the housing with an equal distance between the glass and the frame, it’s almost shifted to the bottom of the frame. anyway my guess is new mirror which I can see from previous posts is quite expensive. I thought I’d post on here and ask for any advice or help.
