Thanks mate. I rang them yesterday but apparently they can’t help. Unfortunately I’m probably going to have to sell the car, I just can’t justify spending anymore on it.

So here is the story so far… I had an auto electrician come and have a look at the car and he said that the ECU was knackered and that he was almost positive as soon as I got my ECU cloned the car would start up… now I’ve had my ECU cloned and fitted the new ECU and now it’s throwing the faults up as below. Now the ones which I think are causing the problem is the P1040 & P1042 but the problem is I aren’t getting a voltage to the plugs on the injectors. Now I can’t find a lot on line about this but what I can find is everyone pointing to the ECU… but my ECU can’t be the issue as I’ve just had it cloned 🤦🏼‍♂️. Anyone shed any light on it or help in any way? Nope literally just the seat controls and the fact the car won’t start… but that’s it

Anyone have any idea what this ONBOARD POWER SUPPLY CONTROL MODULE UNIT ECU 4F0907280E does??? I know the other one is for the gearbox but don’t know what this one does… basically I’ve found a broken wire on the 4 pin plug which goes to the seat controls on the drivers seat so I repaired the wire but none of the seats will work still. I have 12v to the 2 x red/blue wires on the 4 pin plug to the controls but nothing after that. Anyone have any idea what could have blown or be stopping the seats from working? Only found a broken wire on the drivers seat but both front seats won’t move.

Thanks, I think I managed to find the old post and contacted the ECU place that you mentioned (cartech) they want nearly £700 for an ECU replacement and didn’t even respond when I messaged them. Even tried ringing and got no answer. I was only 15mins from the place yesterday and hoped to drop mine off and see if they could test it but they wouldn’t answer the phone so just came home

It’s had a new throttle body fitted and I tried easy start but doesn’t change it. I will try cracking the injectors tomorrow but starting to loose any hope of it starting now and don’t want to destroy the brand new battery I’ve just fitted

Hi, I was told that it just cut out and wouldn’t start again. The glow plug light flashes every time I turn the ignition on now

Yes done a diagnostic and nothing comes up regarding the seats. Checked all plugs and everything is plugged in

So I’m slowly slowly working through my Q7 which I’ve just bought and none of the front electric seats are working. All interior lights, windows etc work and everything else I can see works but just not the seats… is there a common problem here or anything to check? I’ve checked the fuses and it’s not any of them… just seams strange how both aren’t working

Should there be an air bubble in the top of this clear pipe? It goes to the HPFP I think… but when I try and start the car the air bubble moves but the pipe doesn’t fill with fuel as I would expect it too…

Hi Gareth, I appreciate that and I am tempted. It’s just getting it to a garage and the hill that comes with it. It’s getting to a point where I don’t know if to just cut my losses but I’m the person that really can’t let something go… my mindset is that nothing is impossible and it must be fixable… but at what cost

Hi, all these faults keep appearing after I have cleared the faults. My thinking was that it’s maybe the DPF that’s blocked stopping the engine from starting so it doesn’t damage it but I just feel there is too many random faults for that to be the issue. I will try the fuel pump tomorrow and see how I get on. It’s annoying because I’ve removed the codes so many times and these just keep reappearing. I got a new ECU made because the old one was saying communication error but I’m unsure if the new ECU is even correct

Can anyone help me, I have a 2006 3.0tdi Q7 which cut out and won’t start. I’ve scanned the car and found the following faults. I’ve tried replacing the battery, high pressure fuel pump, injectors and still not getting anywhere. I can see it says the DPF pressure sensor and exhaust gas temp sensor but then there is glow plugs 1-6 all open circuit. To me there seams to just be too many errors for all them things to have failed.
