Hi everyone I guess this subject has cropped up before but I’m still quite new to this forum, I have a 2016 Audi Q5 S-Line and was very disappointed to find that the red lights on my doors are infact only red reflectors and not lights. Well I would like to upgrade these to working red lights along with fitting puddle lights to the base of the doors, looking for any advice about which kit to buy and how to wire them into the car system ( ie do they need to be coded to work) I have a ODB reader but I don’t know if they will code the vehicle, plus must admit I really like the Audi rings that can be shown from the puddle lights. Any help would be great. Trevor

Hi Simon thanks for the reply, I got my camera from so I will have to check with them in the new year to see if there’s is compatible with the CarPlay unit. Trev

Hi Simon Thanks for the info, but I’ve now got to check to see if the reversing camera that I’ve just fitted will work with a android/carplay unit before I commit to getting one.

Hi Simon Thanks for your reply, yours seems Just right, you said you got yours for about £240 can you tell me where you got it from as it seems like a great price for one and yeah mine does have a airbag button just under the hazard switch, did you get the extra cable from the same seller as the head unit. Hi there Giddy, no I’ve not yet managed to do it yet, I’ve just finished fitting a reversing camera to the Q5, so I’m going to wait a bit before moving on to the next stage. Trev

Hi there everybody just joined the forum so only a beginner. I have a question for all, sorry if this has been up before, I’m thinking of upgrading my infotainment system on my Q5 because the basic oem system sucks a bit, I’ve been looking at the 10” or 12” Apple/android touch screen systems p, as any body got any info on them, have you had one fitted or done a DIY with one, I live in Suffolk so finding hard to find anyone around here that has fitted one or a auto tech to fit one for me, any help would be great.
