I'm new to the forum and have had numerous Audis over the years (Coupe 5E, Coupe GT, Coupe 2.3, 100 salon and A6 Estate). Notice how they progress as the kids came along! Recently joined the Classic Forum as I have purchased a 1986 Coupe Quattro. However, I digress; I have had a conversation in the pub and I was recalling seeing an Audi advertisement in the cinema back in the day and now i'm unsure if I was dreaming, or not!!
It may not have been an advert and poss a Quattro demonstration. It has a split cinema screen showing a Quattro and a SAAB (900 Turbo??) on a hill climb(Pikes Peak or some similar hill). I think the SAAB pipped it ......but then the Camera draws back and the Audi has a caravan attached!! I'm sufficiently artistic (Engineer) and so cant believe I thought this up.I have searched YouTube but to no avail; please someone out there, put me out of my misery and tell me this did in fact occur otherwise I'm out quite a few beers...............
