  1. Just update tried that reset option but again no joy. Even tried to fit a new battery and couldn’t get access to the driver side strut base to access the battery retaining bolt. Even changing the battery is impossible! Has to be worst engineered car in the world!!!! Looks like will be taking a big hit and scrapyard in the new year!
  2. Problem i have is I could break in but the car will still not open on the inside
  3. Hi All I recently bought a 2006 S4 convertible which had a broken driver side glass and wing mirror. I removed the door card and replaced the glass and wing mirror. Then locked the car using the key fob but today I went to get into the car and couldn’t get in! The key fob won’t unlock the door and the key won’t open the door possible due to the door card still being off. My 5 year old climbed through the ski hatch in the boot and got the bonnet open. I was then able to apply jump leads and my 5 year old started the car but none of the doors unlocked and none of the windows or the roof would come down. I replaced the battery in the fob but still no joy. Not sure what to do and don’t understand why the key fob is no longer working and doesn’t appear to be a button to unlock the car from inside. Yet to drive the car so not that familiar with the layout. Don’t really want to break the window so i can get in but even if i got in not sure how that would help as cant open the door to refit the door card to reconnect the controls in the door and none of the other switches are working. Any ideas how i can unlock the car? Thanks Adrian
