  1. Update on the issue: Faulty injector identified when plugged in for diagnostics. Injector and seals replaced and all engine juddering has stopped. There wasn't an exhaust leak it was the smell of fuel / oil leaking out of the injector onto the engine and being dragged in to the cabin by the air con. £490 lighter but issue resolved.
  2. Hi Gareth, Thank you for the speedy reply, as soon as I noticed the issue with the fumes I haven't used the car since. I've managed to get it booked into a VW/Audi specialist garage for the end of next week (nightmare booking this time of year!). I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks David
  3. Hi all, First time posting on here, apologies if i'm not posting in the right area but I'm in need of some advice if possible. I've got an A5 3.0 V6 TDI (not quattro version) and I think I've got an issue with two injectors. I've had a mobile mechanic out to look at it and he's suggesting there's nothing wrong with the injectors but there is an issue with the exhaust manifold. Issues are: Car is shaking quite a lot on idle and also when slowing down to a stop Fuel leaking from two injectors (front left and front right injectors) - I took it to a mate of mine who's good with cars and he pointed out there was diesel running down the engine from two of the injectors although it wasn't a lot. Strong smell of exhaust inside cabin (although i'd say its more like a cooking oil smell) Loud ticking noise coming from engine I had a mobile mechanic come out to look at it a week later and there was no fuel leaking from either injector, he didn't think there was an issue with them but I disagreed. He noticed some gunk at the exhaust manifold and said that it looks like the seals have gone on both sides. I've googled the issues and there seems to be a few threads about injector issues causing gunk to leak out of ports in the exhaust albeit its usually black gunk and mine isn't. I've uploaded a video of one side of the manifold, is the mobile mechanic correct in the manifold needs re-sealing or is the gunk likely caused by the injector issue? I'm not great with cars so any advice is greatly appreciated! IMG_6968.MP4
