Many thanks, Richard. I will look into this. I have seen many people offering cheaper kits for sale, but assume they're all cloned software, and liable to missing functionality etc. I think, if we are running expensive SQ5 or higher-end cars, it's not a big deal to pay for the VCDS, as the cost of some repairs will way exceed that - DIY now becomes a viable option. /Chris

Hi, I'm new to vehicle diagnostics, but I am facing an expensive aircon flap motor change, and understand that it's possible to change the flap motor. However this requires programming with the VCDS OBD kit. I have never done this, so I'll be careful, but I wonder whether anyone can advise on which kit to buy, please? I have a decent laptop, but that's all. Any recommendations please for what is a good purchase, with proper software? Cheers, Chris

Hi guys - new here. SQ5 2017 model. Dashboard shows intermittently a fault message saying ACC Unavailable / Distance Warning Unavailable. This happens mostly when it's very cold or very wet. I have a crack on the left side sensor / radar "lens" dome. I believe this is because the little heating unit inside the dome has failed, and read this on google somewhere. I have had Audi diagnose the fault and they confirm a problem with the left side sensor. They have quoted me £2,300 for the replacement, and I believe this is wrong. I think they're trying to sell me the control unit as well as the sensor. Can anyone tell me what the components are here, and if I can get a sensor without having to pay the Earth? Thanks, Chris

Hi - on mine, I can just push the lever a little bit and it does 1mph increments. If I push it harder so it "clicks" a bit, it goes in 5mph increments.
