Is it wrote anywhere that Audi UK have extended the warranty to 7 years? That is the issue I am currently having with Audi as they are saying that my alternator has no extended warranty.

Hey guys, is there any official documentation or email from Audi to say that the Mild Hybrid system/alternator is covered with a 7 year warranty? My alternator failed last month I fixed it myself as my car was 2018 I thought it was well out of warranty. The part cost £1600 and now I’ve read so much about this extended warranty I contacted Audi Uk to see if they could reimburse me the money for the alternator. After a month of back and forth I have just been told that my car is not covered even though it has the 48v battery and the alternator for that engine seems to fail. Just wondering if there is anything official out there because I am looking to progress this further to the motor ombudsman. Thanks in advance for any replies.
