I had a front brake caliper replaced and the brake fluid replaced. The fault has never reappeared.

Hi Steve, after some more research, I believe the reason why the seat back becomes lose is because the lower fixed lumbar support collapses and has to be replaced. These are the part numbers I found on Audi sport net.
    Part numbers:
    Lumbar support: 8E0-881-891
    Seat repair kit: 8E0-898-035
Apparently, the lumbar support is about £50 and the seat repair which is all the clips is about £10. If I'm honest, I was looking for a cheap fix without having to remove anything, but this fix just got bigger and more involved. I will save up for a professional trimmer to overhaul the drivers seat because the side bolster is also getting tatty.

Can I ask an A3 owner to send me measurements of their wiper arms? Also, a pic to show the shape would be appreciated.

Hi Gareth, that's good advice, and this is exactly how I am driving. Like the chauffeur from 'Driving Miss Daisy'.
